Weight loss.
Most ladies out there don't like to or will not talk about what their weight is. Well, I.m not a person like that. I stated a new ADVENTURE in my life back in Oct or 2011 and can't believe how good I have done so far.
Let me go back just a little more. On, July 28 at 4:14am my grandma passed away by my side and I was so sad. I have never seen someone die right in front of me before. I knew I needed to be strong for my mom because she was they with me. later that day the family went out to lunch because most of us was not eaten yet for the day. I just ate what looked good to me and i had a BIG soda. After lunch I was feeling really sick, sad, down, and just depressed. I was thinking it was because my grandma just passed away but later I would find out it was what I was eating that was making me feel like this.
A few days later I started to walk everyday with the girls in the Jogging stroller we got about a year ago. I would just walk around the house in my area. I started going about one mile a day and would keep adding more as I felt like I could do it. At Christmas time my In-Laws gave us a very old treadmill. It was over 10 years old but it worked OK. I started to walk and jog on the treadmill everyday if the girls didn't want to go outside. I was doing really good. I was able to do three miles in just about one and a half hours. I was thinking that was really good. A few weeks later Amber asked me to go out running again. I was thinking I was going to die again. But I told her yes, so that night we went out again. I did a lot better then the last time. we did 3 miles in 65minutes. I was able to add one mile to our walk/jog from last time. I did feel like I was going to pass out but I was so happy I did it.
Now that I was walking or jogging everyday I wanted to see what my weight was. At this time it was about December and I was down 20 pounds and I was feeling so good. I had to take some time off from walking and jogging because I had my tube(I only have one) tied. so I started again the first of the New Year ;-)
Danny and I started to do P90X work out almost everyday as well as walking and jogging. I was losing weight so fast and I was feeling great. I am so Happy to say I am down to 200 pounds and i was able to lower my BMI from 37.6 to 29.9. So I am down 50 pounds 7 months just by walking 3 miles a day and eating better. I have found out a lot about me doing this. I found out I do like more food then I was thinking, I can do stuff if I put my mind to it and that I can help other people.
I will be posting more about my fun new things The Smythe Family are doing now that we are all healthier.

Now to jump to Oct, 2011. My friend Amber has been asking me for years to go for a jog with her and I would always make something up like " I cant because of girls" or " Danny and I are going to do something". But this time when she asked I said OK. I was not even able to run/jog 500 feet before I felt like I was going to pass out. Amber told me to just keep moving even if I had to walk. she would run up the street a little and turn around and run back to me. I just kept going and she showed me where to go. about 65mins later we were back at my house and I found out we jogged/walked about 2 miles. I felt like I was going to die and just pass out but Amber told me something that made me want to CRY. "Ashley hold on the pain ends you will be fine in a few minutes" I use to tell me Grandma "hold on pain ends" every time I had to give her Meds to her. As I was thinking about this I was also thinking about other things about grandma and I talked about. I remembered that I told her I was going to lose some weight. at this time I was 255lbs. Yes, I was only 45 pounds away from 300 pounds. :-( at this post I knew I needed to keep my word to my grandma.
